Vriesea Splenriet Plant Care

A dramatic indoor plant with an attractive, bright 
red flower spike. Once flowering has finished 
remove the spike. The foliage alone is an 
interesting indoor feature. 
Location
Likes a well lit area but needs to be kept out of direct 
sunlight – this will prolong the life of the flower.  

            
Water / Fertiliser

            
Keep the soil moist but not wet; never allow the plant
to sit in water. Your plant will live longer if you fertilise
once a month at half the rates indicated on your 
fertiliser instructions. Apply the fertiliser solution to
the cup of the plant.
