About Maranta Leuconeura

The Maranta Foliage plants are known for their striking foliage that will stand out from the crowd. With oval leaves fold at night to resemble praying hands which is where their nickname comes from.

They are part of the Calathea family and they like similar conditions to the Orbifolia. Thrives in bright light areas and like humidity so a kitchen or bathroom will be perfect! 

Care Advice

Maranta prefer a warm spot and bright but indirect light, try to keep them out of direct sunshine. Best to keep their soil moist from spring to autumn, and provide some humidity by misting the leaves, in the cooler months.
